D&D Brewery to El Mochito Mine

Beautiful drive on a paved road through karst (limestone) formations, climbing up from D&D to a pass, and then descending down into the valley where the town of Las Vegas, Santa Barbara is located. Stop at the scenic overlook on the way into town. Las Vegas is a great place to walk around as well. Continue through the town and up past the mine’s main entrance. You’ll see loads of “banana-plantation-style” homes built out of wood, raised up on stilts. These are where many miners and their families live. You’ll finish your drive at one of the mining villages, Mocho Arriba.
